How to Make Windows XP Run Like New – A Hidden Trick Computer Technicians Use to Boost XP Speed

The way you speed up any Windows computer is to repair the various problems that first cause it to run slow. Not many people realize that if you’re using a system such as XP, there are a lot of problems which cause it to slow down and become unresponsive. And out of all the problems that XP can have, there’s one which is continually causing computers to slow down throughout the World – called the “registry”. The hidden trick to fixing this system is to repair the registry of your PC, to make it run as smoothly and effectively as possible again. Here’s how…

The ‘registry’ of Windows is basically a central database which stores vital files and settings for your Windows system. It’s here that your PC will keep such vital information as your background wallpaper, latest emails and even your Internet bookmarks… and is what XP uses constantly to “remember” all the software settings that your system needs in order to run.

Although the registry database is one of the most important parts of any Windows computer, it’s also one of the biggest causes of problems, not least making many Windows PCs run slow. The problem with the registry is that because it contains all the settings & information Windows requires to run, it’s constantly being opened & read 100′s of times a day. This frequent opening of the registry often makes XP confused, leading it to save many of the settings it has in the wrong way. This makes them unreadable & corrupt, leading Windows to take (much) longer to process the settings it needs to run – making it appear to run slower.

Having a corrupt registry is a lot like having a telephone directory with its listings mixed up in the wrong order. When Windows comes to search for a file / setting it needs to run, it will constantly have to take longer to read the files it requires, slowing it down considerably. And the problem is that the more registry settings that are damaged, the slower & slower your PC will get. This problem is the main reason why XP will run slow & is also why most Windows computers run slower with age as well. Fortunately, the trick to fix it is so simple that a beginner should be able to pull it off. To do this, you need to open up a program called a “registry cleaner” (which you can download from the Internet), and then use it to scan through your PC and repair any of the damaged / corrupt settings that are inside. These tools are totally automated and work very well to fix the various problems that will be causing XP to run slower.
