How to Clean Your Current Drawer Pulls and Knobs

Does your hand stick to your cabinet handles when you grab them? Grime, bacteria, and germs can all make a home on your cabinet knobs, even if they aren’t sticky.

Every now and then your kitchen knobs require a deep cleaning. It’s a rather easy thing to accomplish if you follow the points listed.

First, you will want to take the knobs off from the cabinets. You should do this at the same time as your spring cleaning. To be certain of where each knob goes, mark them. As time goes on, knobs settle into a perfect fit on the cabinetry to which they are attached. It’s always a good idea to know which spaces to return the knobs to.

You can identify the which knob matches which cabinet by marking the knob at the base with a number or letter, then keep track of the numbers for later. When it is time to reassemble the cabinet knobs, it will be easy because you have marked them all.

Next comes time for cleaning. Clean the knobs thoroughly with an anti-bacterial wipe and a combination of water and soap. Be sure to thoroughly clean all parts of the knobs: the front, back, as well as the all of the parts that lead up to where the cabinet attaches to the knob. Spend some time to thoroughly clean them.

You can now look at the position in the cabinetry where the knobs are attached. It is a frequent occurrence that debris and juices manage to lodge in the narrow space between the kitchen knobs and cabinets. Due to the accumulation and growth of germs in this area, it is imperative that the area is properly cleaned.

Put the both parts back after they’re clean and dry. Now that your knobs are clean and sanitary just reverse the procedure and reattach them to your cabinet doors and then stand back and admire your germ free sanitary kitchen.
